MixEd Testimonials

We are delighted to regularly collaborate with Louise and Marcus, the Mix-Ed co-founders. They have contributed to several of our virtual #DiverseEd events and DEI training sessions for different stakeholders. We appreciate their engaging delivery style, their candour and the safe, open space that they create for the audience to get curious about mixed race identities.

Hannah Wilson, Co-Founder & Director, Diverse Educators

BMS Progress LLP are an Independent Training Provider of Apprenticeships and further education qualifications. MixEd training with Louise has helped enormously with our awareness and understanding of EDI, and how to promote this effectively within our own organisation. Her authentic passion and energy is inspiring; engaging the audience with enthusiasm, knowledge and explanation that makes a genuine impact. Louise’s commitment to ensuring fair treatment and opportunity for all really makes a difference.

BMS Progress

MixEd delivered an outstanding Inset on Diversity and Inclusion in schools. The morning involved advocacy on why diversity and inclusion and real change are needed in schools, practical ways on how to deal with challenging situations and it provided a springboard for us as a school to weave diversity and inclusion in our curriculum. Thanks to MixEd’s Inset we now have a common, strong ethos of each child feeling that they belong and are empowered to have open, honest conversations on diversity and inclusion in the classroom and beyond.

Gwen Saccheri, EDI lead at Birkenhead High School Academy

We at The Albion Academy had the pleasure of attending a presentation led by Louise. Her insightful and thought provoking discussion on racial ignorance and bias was both educational and inspiring. Her ability to effectively communicate the importance of role modelling respect for all students was impressive. The presentation left staff feeling empowered to make a positive impact on our community. We highly recommend.

Lewis Wild, Assistant Principal of Student Culture, Albion Academy, Salford

We approached Louise to speak at one of our network events based on her vast array of leadership experience including her role as co-founder and leader of MixEd. Louise delivered a talk on anti-racism which was informative and inspiring. Inspiring to ensure others tackle this important issue head on and not shy away from it. Through both sharing her own experience and practical tips, attendees felt empowered to take the next step in this journey. I would recommend Louise and engaging with MixEd as a whole, without hesitation.
